Hipobuy logoHipobuy Spreadsheet Quote Figures

Your first Hipobuy quote, from a Spreadsheet shelf to the parcel page

How to use Hipobuy and the Hipobuy Spreadsheet together, step by step, with the figure you meet at each stage: estimator, item order, warehouse, parcel page, settlement.

Step 1: price an imaginary parcel

Run the estimator before you buy anything. It needs no account: choose your country, enter a weight in grams and the box size if you can guess it, and press Inquire.

Guess the weight of everything you expect to send together, plus packaging. Hipobuy repacks items in its own bags at the warehouse and removes the original express boxes, except for fragile or oversized goods that stay in their boxes.

Write down two or three lines with both prices, the date and the weight you used. Those notes are what you compare against later; the estimator does not save them for you.

Step 2: order the item itself

Open a shelf on the Spreadsheet page, pick a listing and copy its link. Taobao, 1688 and Weidian links paste straight into the Hipobuy search bar; for other sources Hipobuy offers a Fill & Buy form where you type the details yourself.

Choose colour, size and quantity, leave a message for the buyer if needed, and pay for the item. At this stage you pay the item price and the domestic shipping to the warehouse. There is no international shipping on the order.

Hipobuy says its buyer agents place the order within 6 working hours of payment, and buy between 09:00 and 18:00 Beijing time. Sellers then ship to the warehouse, usually within a few days.

Step 3: the warehouse weighs it

For ordinary eligible items, the warehouse checks quantity, colour and size against your order, photographs the item and stores it. Opening has exceptions, including specified sealed, handmade and adult items; photographs do not establish authenticity or electronic function. The guide describes storage usually within 24 hours of scanning, not a guaranteed deadline. Storage is free for 90 days from the Warehoused status.

The warehouse page lists each stored item with its weight in grams and its dimensions. Use item weights to start a parcel estimate, then allow for packaging. Do not add the three dimensions of separate items together: the final box depends on how they fit, packing choices and any retained packaging. The line may charge the higher of actual and volumetric weight.

The screenshot comes from a Hipobuy help article dated April 2025; product details are blurred by Hipobuy. It shows one item at 1,200 g and 20 × 40 × 30 cm, marked Warehoused with 90 days left.

This is a good moment to rerun the estimator with the real weights and sizes from this page. The figures will be closer to what the parcel page shows than your first guess was, though packing can still change the final weight.

If you are waiting for more items before shipping, note the day the first one was warehoused. The free storage period runs from that status, item by item.

Step 4: the parcel page

Select the stored items and press Create Parcel. Enter the address, choose a packing method and pick a line. Hipobuy’s beginner guide says the international shipping fee here is calculated from the estimated parcel weight and size, the shipping method and the destination, and points to the estimator for an advance figure.

This is also where coupons apply. Hipobuy’s coupon article puts the coupon selector next to the shipping price on this page, with one shipping coupon per parcel. Paid protection, if you want it, is chosen here too.

We cannot show you this page with live figures: it needs your account and your items. Compare whatever it shows with the bold and struck figures you noted in step 1, and keep a screenshot.

Step 5: settlement and delivery

The parcel price you pay is a deposit on an estimate. Hipobuy’s guide says the final cost is set from the parcel’s final weight and size after packing, with any excess on the deposit refunded and any shortfall charged.

Hipobuy’s articles describe that settlement in slightly different words, including when a refund is due. We do not cover the rule in detail here; read the billing-weight article itself before you rely on a particular threshold.

Inspect delivery with the courier before signing and keep the packaging and waybill. The receipt guidance gives a local post-office report within two days after signing if damage or shortage was not inspected with the courier. Separate after-sale guidance asks for evidence within two working days; damaged, missing or defective goods have a 72-hour reporting clause. Protection pages also contain seven-days-after-signing and 45-days-after-shipping clauses. Ask support which procedure and cover apply; these are not interchangeable deadlines.

A six-line checklist for the first parcel

A beginner checklist that keeps the quote honest:

  1. Price the full parcel on the estimator, with real dimensions.
  2. Note line name, both prices and the date.
  3. Order items; pay item cost and domestic shipping only.
  4. Check weights and sizes on the warehouse page.
  5. On the parcel page, compare the total with your notes before paying.
  6. Keep screenshots until settlement and delivery are done.

If the parcel page and your notes differ a lot, ask support before paying, quoting the line name and both figures.
